Sound files open up in Groove but won't play
Scenario: you've got a sound file but when you open it, Microsoft Groove opens up and won't play it.
Cause: Microsoft Groove is blocked by Sophos.
Fix: change the file association for the sound file so that it plays in Windows Media Player instead.
Right-click the sound file. If the sound file is in an email, copy it out to your desktop and right-click it from there.
From the pop-up menu, hang off from 'Open with >' and select the 'Choose another app' option:
In the pop-up that results, select 'Windows Media Player' from the list of applications and put a tick in the box to 'always use this app'.
Click 'OK' when you're done and you'll now be able to double-click the sound file to listen to it.
